Jamie Brackemyer, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist & Feeding Therapist

Jamie Brackemyer, MS CCC-SLP, is a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist specializing in feeding therapy for children. Her work experience includes providing medical feeding intervention in Neonatal Intensive Care Units and Pediatric Care Units and working alongside families in outpatient settings to address feeding disorders and speech and language delays.

Jamie is a Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach trained feeding therapist and a Certified Lactation Specialist (CLS). She has experience working with many professionals in multidisciplinary feeding clinics and collaborating with teams to create a whole-child approach to treatment. Jamie is also trained in functional feeding intervention for pre/post-surgical correction for lip, tongue, and buccal ties, including stretching and feeding skill development in collaboration with the medical team. She is compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable in a variety of disorders and diagnoses.

As a Mother, Jamie understands how busy life gets! She strives to make every therapy session functional and to ensure that you have the skills and knowledge to carry over and practice in your daily life. Feeding is not only about nutrition and hydration, but about creating long-term relationships with family and food. Jamie aims to create a positive and interactive feeding plan for your child that works for your family. As a therapist, she believes we need to respect individual, familial, cultural, and religious beliefs around feeding so family involvement in the development of the plan is key.

Pediatric speech therapy has been Jamie’s passion throughout her career, and she is excited to have the opportunity to work with your child on your family goals to progress in feeding and communication.

When Jamie is away from the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family. Her husband and two daughters are very outdoorsy! They enjoy camping, fishing, and boating as a family!
